X.com was founded by Elon Musk and his brother Kimbal Musk. It was later named Paypal after it merged with confinity. It was aimed at providing financial services and facilitated online payments. Sale of Paypal in stocks to eBay in 2002 left Musk with staggering returns.
To promote commercial space travel, Elon started a company called ‘Space Exploration Technology Corporation’ or SpaceX. This corporation earned a lot of fame with the start of its operations. Falcon 1 and Falcon 9 rockers were made as reusable rockets and the core idea behind SpaceX was to enable earthlings to travel to Mars and establish colonize.
Tesla came on the surface, Elon becomes the co-founder. Tesla was aimed at making economic electric cars based on the latest battery technology with solar roofs. In 2008, Roadstar was introduced and it could attain the speed of 60mph in just 3.7 seconds and also could travel 250 miles on a single charge of its lithium-ion battery. In all these years, Tesla has come up with different models of cars with premium features. Recently, in 2019 the idea of Cybertruck has been unveiled by Elon Musk, and this will be produced in the year 2022. Already orders for 200,000 units of Cybertruck are received, claimed by Elon.
Elon Musk proposed the idea of Hyperloop. This will help in connecting cities with the fastest means of commute. A competition was held for this purpose and speed achieved by one of the contestants was 287 mph.
To promote artificial intelligence, Elon must become a co-founder in OpenAI. He is working on Neuralink, in which a chip will be installed in the human brain and will be connected with software.
Elon bought Solar City Corp. Combined productivity of Tesla’s storage and Salar City’s solar output will help to connect, commercial, residential and power grid for generation, storage, and consumption of energy. These are sometimes referred to as the biggest batteries in the world to power large no. of units.
Boring Company was introduced by Elon Musk to manage the increasing traffic issues on the road. This company will bore and build tunnels to facilitate the movement of locomotives. Also, he comes forward to operationalize high-speed train to connect O’Hare Airport with downtown Chicago.
The Boring Company of Elon Musk introduced Flame thrower at $500 for one piece of a flamethrower. 10,000 flamethrowers were sold in a single day, according to Elon.
Elon has also formed the Musk Foundation to promote the discovery of renewable energy and works toward the preservations of the environment. His goal is to create sustainable businesses to provide an opportunity for the coming generations to bear its fruits with the least impact on the environment.
